Nothing Is Impossible With God 2025

14 days, 10 days in Rwanda, 2 days in Uganda, 11 women cooperatives, 248 microloans, 1 savings bonus.

Fellowship and relationships continue to be core of what we do. We heard  number of life changing stories.

For example Seraphine (Nyamata) started as a tailor outside. When she received a microloan she bought an umbrella to protect herself from the weather. After 5 loan cycles, she now rents a small room for her tailor business, bought windows and doors for her home, pays her children’s school fees and is able to buy food for her children.

We received reports from various groups that women and their husbands work together to support their families. The women no longer need to ask their husbands for money for food or basic personal needs.

We have seen, first hand, microloans empower women to help themselves, their families and their communities.

The team always tries to find ways to help outside the women ministry with personal funds. This year’s funds provided cement that will finish a classroom in Bwiru; a projector, printer and screen for the Gisneyi high school computer lab class; a personal laptop computer for the Gisenyi high school teacher so that he can continue to build his knowledge in computer science and share that knowledge with his students; and our driver’s (Alexis) wife, Josiane, played a big role in cooking breakfast and dinner while we stayed in the guest house in Kigali. Finally and most importantly, funds will go to many Harvest Christian Church families in Bukavu, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) who were affected by the current war and conflict in DCR. Although, the families still have their homes, everything in their homes were taken and they no access to food. We continue to pray for safety of the families and peace in DRC.

This year’s big prayer request is funds to purchase the land Harvest Christian Fellowship church sits on in Uganda. The amount needed is $40,000. We ask that you pray that God will find a way.

As in past trips, the team remained resilient. I am blessed to have a committed team serving alongside me.

I am also blessed to be working alongside Africa Hope Initiatives (Kigali) Rwandan team, a group of servant leaders that want to see the women be successful. They put their heart and soul in training and providing guidance.

We are also blessed that God has given us someone who guides us, inspires us, and is a voice to the voiceless, Bishop Theophile Rugubira. We love you!

Bishop Theophile Rugubira

Our time in Rwanda did not look or feel any different than any other year. Thank you God for giving us the courage to say YES and trust your protection.

We would like to thank our Rwandan family and team. God’s work cannot be done without a planner, organizer, leader, interpreter, and driver. You are our family and we love so much!

Thank you to all our partners/donors. This work cannot be  done without your continued support.

Plans are in place to visit the North Eastern area of Rwanda and a return visit to Uganda in January 2026.

Thank you to everyone that followed AWHI daily trip blogs. Hope the blogs warmed your hearts and you experience God’s blessings.
