Nothing is Impossible with God 2023

14 days, 12 days in country, 8 women cooperatives, 120 micro loans, 3 savings bonus. 🇷🇼❤️
From the team’s personal funds and other specific donations while in country, food for a village’s preschoolers for one year, kids shoes for 100 kids (Ruhango) porridge for 2 months, 3 times a week for 95 preschoolers (Ruhango), porridge for 2 months, 3 times a week for 100 preschoolers (Bwiru), 2 months of rent for church space (Kabuga), one day’s work for women’s cooperative ( Bwiru – they spent the day with the team) and new friends and partnerships.

I’d say God did some great things!

Africa Women’s Hope Initiative – Rwanda Mission Trip – March 2023
I ask that you take some time to learn and experience Rwanda through our eyes.
We are already planning our 2024 trip. Right now, we expect to meet 5 new cooperative groups, and return visits to 5 cooperative groups that received savings bonuses that we were unable to visit this year due to time.
First, I am blessed to have a husband that supports me. ❤️
I am also blessed to have my team (Liz, Stephen and Jenn) who have joined me in being God’s hands and feet in helping women throughout Rwanda change their lives and feed their families. The longest time a team member was on a mission trip to Rwanda was 12 days. This team was pushed. They did it with courage, strength and faith.
They will be joining me again in 2024. The women desperately want to support their families. The best way for them to support their families is to start a small business. But they are unable to secure loans through financial institutions or other non profit organizations as the loans are with interest or the women need collateral.
Bishop Theophile describes AWHI as a ministry that helps our fellow humans. He best described it when he said, “If you are able to eat 3 meals a day, but your neighbor has no food, why would you not offer your neighbor one of your meals?” The need is great and it is real. As you sit down at the dinner table, take a few minutes and think about how can you help your neighbor. Whether it is in your community or across the world.
In the next 5 years the goal is to provide 3,000 micro loans and 50 savings bonus.
